Job Description :

The position is responsible for providing patient oriented service; performing a
variety of clerical and administrative duties such as greeting and checking patients in/out, answering phones, collecting co-pays and payments for uninsured, accurately process paperwork, and perform other duties related to the front office in a fast-paced, multi-location medical practice. Must be willing to travel to various locations as needed.

Office locations are Winter Haven, FL; Lakeland, FL; Haines City, FL; Clermont, FL; The Villages, FL; and Sebring, FL.

Must be fluent in English/Spanish.


  • Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and professional manner

  • Check patients in and out of Clinic in a timely manner

  • Maintain accurate patient information by obtaining, recording and updating personal and financial information in our EHR, and ensure all forms are completed accurately

  • Collect co-payments and payments for uninsured patients

  • Make follow-up appointments as needed for patients

  • Maintain neat and orderly work area and lobby

  • Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information

  • Answer phone calls from other departments in a professional manner

  • Follow written protocols and procedures of the Clinic

  • Perform other duties of the medical practice that may be assigned

  • Must be dependable and a team player

  • Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations outside of Polk County

  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule – Monday through Friday

  • Some overtime may be required


  • High school diploma or GED

  • One year previous front desk receptionist experience in a medical clinic

  • Bilingual – English/Spanish

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy

  • Self-motivated, fast learner and able to work independently, if needed

  • Reliable, punctual and accountable

  • Professional, well-groomed appearance

  • Experience with customer service and multi-line phones

  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance

  • Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor even in difficult circumstances

  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and ability to quickly learn Management Plus, our EHR system

  • Good diction and articulation

  • Demonstrate active listening skills

  • Basic typing and keyboarding skills

  • Maintain calm and positive attitude and maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations

  • Have the ability to respond to changing workload and work environment

  • Convey both tact and diplomacy in patient and co-worker relations

  • Must maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with clinic policy and HIPPA guidelines

  • Demonstrate good teamwork, ability to be positive, enthusiastic, energetic and helpful


  • Monday - Friday

  • Can start at 7:00 AM or 7:30 AM ends between 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

  • When being asked to work at a different site, it will be for the full day. Advanced notice is provided, when possible

  • $16 - $17 with an increase after 100 days

  • Mileage reimbursement and travel stipends for out of county travel
