Our practice in Winter Park, FL and The Villages offers a convenient, affordable, friendly veterinary clinic. We provide wellness care, preventive medication, treatment for non-emergency ailments, and management of chronic diseases. The list below represents the types of cases you will see – how you choose to treat these cases is up to you.


Comprehensive Examinations



  • Non-Emergency Ailment Treatment

  • Provide Prescriptions from Clinic or Online Pharmacy

We offer flexible scheduling -we are open to FT 10-hour shifts or traditional 8-hour shifts too! No Sundays, No Surgeries, and no Overnight Calls!




RESPONSIBILITIES



  • The Veterinarian will have the following primary responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with veterinary assistants and other staff to provide top-notch care to pets, companion animals, and their families.

  • Treat, and prevent an array of animal diseases and illnesses.

  • Conduct tests and observations to provide a proper diagnosis to prevent rabies, brucellosis, and other disorders.

  • Promotes the health of animals by advising animal owners about sanitation measures, feeding, and general care.

  • Prescribe necessary medications and administer vaccines to prevent common diseases.

  • Communicate with animal owners to answer questions and educate them on situations and treatment plans.

  • Be familiar with the statutes and administrative rules of the state in which they operate, and they will ensure that the clinic complies. The Veterinarian is responsible for the completion, maintenance, and submission of such reports and records as required by the state in which they operate.

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.




Required Qualifications :
REQUIREMENTS



MUST MEET OR EXCEED THE FOLLOWING:



  • Shall have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in addition to a bachelor’s degree.

  • Shall be licensed by the veterinary state board of examination in the state they will be providing services. The license shall be in good standing.

  • Preferred to be able to demonstrate a proven track record of previous care in an animal care hospital or clinic.

  • Demonstrate a passion for working with animals and their owners with an active interest in their health and well-being.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient computer skills including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and G Suite).

  • Have knowledge of all veterinary best practices, and a desire to advance the field.

  • Must be able and willing to work during normal business operating hours which are: Tuesday-Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Saturday 9 am to 1 pm.
